In December 2024, Power of One took a heartfelt journey to the coastal village of Desemboque, Mexico, where we spent time with the beautiful Seri Tribe. With open arms and open hearts, we brought food and essential supplies—simple offerings made in the spirit of love, compassion, and human connection.
But this trip was more than just delivering goods—it was the beginning of a relationship rooted in respect and shared hope. Our time with the Seri people touched us deeply, and we are committed to returning every year, not only to offer support but to walk alongside them as partners and friends.
At the heart of our mission is the belief in the Power of One—that one person, one act of kindness, one step taken with intention can spark transformation. When one heart reaches out to another, it creates a ripple that can touch lives far beyond what we ever imagined. Power of One was founded on this truth: that meaningful change begins within each of us.
Inspired by this belief, we are now co-creating long-term projects with the Seri community. One of our first initiatives is building a greenhouse to provide access to fresh, organic food. We are also working on solutions to bring clean water and sustainable energy to the village, helping to improve daily life in lasting, dignified ways.
Looking ahead, we hope to expand upon the recently built retreat center in Desemboque—to provide additional housing and a sacred and welcoming space where people from around the world can come to experience the depth of Seri culture, listen to its stories, and reconnect with the land and with themselves.
At Power of One, we believe love is not just a feeling—it’s action. Every conversation, every shared meal, every moment of care builds a bridge. The people of Desemboque are not just recipients of aid; they are our teachers, our collaborators, our extended family.
This is just the beginning. And it all started with one step, one idea, one open heart.
